One more problem - that MIGHT be on your side, hence this mail.

Both repos now don't behave the same. I can update or clone geda-gaf
fine. But I can clone pcb.git repo ONLY as root user, even though I do
it within my home directory.

So I can clone as ordinary user geda-gaf jsut fine, but cloning pcb-git
fails at the exact point when a directory for the cloned repo should be
made.

Cloning as sudo root and then changing user:group of the whole subrtree
works seemingly fine, but is highly unsafe, ofcourse.
