There is also the option of

Which is a set of extension scripts for inkscape which can export paths as
a gEDA PCB or pcb-rnd footprint. It generates line segment approximations
of curves and allows scaling. This provides an additional pathway from dxf,
svg or similar vector formats to pcb layouts.

The next release of pstoedit will hopefully include some code that I
contributed that exports polygons as well as paths to pcb-rnd footprints.
