To add my 2-cents: My personal workflow creates assembly drawings with 
arrows to components and parts list index number balloons as well as 
assembly notes, for circuit boards. In the past, I have used Gschem to 
create these drawings, but recently switched to LibreCad as a better 
tool. Up to now, I have been exporting my designs in PCB to Postscript 
and then using pstoedit to convert them to DXF to finish editing in 
LibreCad. That works, but is an extra, error-prone step. It will be nice 
to have that step built-in to pcb-rnd. Now I just have to find a pcb-rnd 
project to get familiar with it...
