It does not - and to merge it, it will need a little reconciling with other
upstream changes. (There may be a "better" way to do it now, but I'm
hopeful we can add back-compatibility to the files from my original patch -
for my sake as well as yous!).

If you need the feature soon, I already rebased (but did not extensively
test) that part of my branch, so I can point you at it if you're happy to
build from git. I did not yet re-base the fancier GL or 3D stuff.
