Not anymore. It all works out-of-the-box on an IRIX 5.3 system using this 
simple procedure: http://repo.hu/projects/pcb-rnd/UNIX.txt

Speed of compilation (on IP22 @ 100 MHz):

./configure:       1 minute 55 seconds.
make (with -O0):   7 minutes 40 seconds.

(timing for make with -O3 will be available on the web page once the 
process finishes; it will probably be in the 25..45 minutes range)

In case you were wondering: I'm not doing this because I want to run 
pcb-rnd on IRIX. It's rather for code quality checks, to make sure we 
work at minimal dependencies, to have better chance to compile on whatever 
platform a new user prefers.
