Thanks a lot for preparing this list, Peter! Can we place it on our
own website?

I am excited about the improvements you have in mind for gschem!

You and I discussed programming languages and I maintain my opinion,
but in the end you get to choose the how when you're doing the work.

As for naming and/or versioning, I feel that the items on your list
are a perfect fit for a gschem 2.0 release.

If other active developers wish to continue working on the 1.9 code
and want to do things differently than you then I think the first
priority would be to align the efforts, but if that is impossible
then to simply have two parallel branches; one for geda-gaf-1.9 and
one for gschem-2.0. Common changes can of course be cherry-picked.

Sorry to miss the meetup on Saturday but I'll peek in on IRC!

Kind regards

//Peter
