For most design I think a rather simple model to avoid overheating is enough and it will probably be a good starting point anyway. Well a mapping window is needed to get discrete value: 5,10,15 mils or whatever otherwise it would be a continuous function. No wizard, they are usually horrible, a button for suitable documentation about calculations of width would probably be good.
