Current pcb prefers footprints from the system library over 
identically named footprints from the user. This is very likely not 
what the user had in mind when creating the local version. I like to 
have see generic footprint name in my schematic. Like "0805". So I run 
into this all the time. Consequently, I habitually remove the default 
libraries after a build/upgrade.
