--bcaec5015da9a3c39505143fa56d Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable I know this is a geda list and this question should be asked somewhere else but I'm homebound, I haven't worked with other engineers in years and this is the only place (and best place) I know of to hash a problem out with other engineers. If anyone knows of a better forum please advise. I have a nema 23 stepper motor (to turn a trolling motor for a kayak) I want to drive in bipolar 2 phase. I'm using a Microchip 16f1939 with the On Semiconductor STK682 stepper motor driver. I have verified with a logic analyzer and oscilloscope that the output signals to the stepper are in the correct phases and the correct voltage level (I may be able to attach the screenshot). =E2=80=8B I know it is sketchy but I have 3 nema 23 steppers from ebay. What I'm looking for is advice on how to proceed. I just spun a new board with the bare minimum circuitry to drive the stepper and this output did not turn the stepper. The two choices I see are purchasing another stepper from a reputable dealer or purchasing a ready-made stepper driver and associated accessories to drive the steppers then analyze the difference between output signals. Suggestions? Advice? Thanks, Rob --bcaec5015da9a3c39505143fa56d Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"ltr"><div>I know this is a geda list and this question=C2=A0sho= uld be=C2=A0asked somewhere else but I'm homebound, I haven't worke= d with other engineers in years and this is the only place (and best place)= I know of to hash a problem out with other engineers.=C2=A0 If anyone know= s of a better forum please advise.</div><div><br></div><div>I have a nema 2= 3 stepper motor (to turn a trolling motor for a kayak)=C2=A0I want to drive= in bipolar 2 phase.=C2=A0 I'm using a Microchip 16f1939 with the=C2=A0= On Semiconductor STK682 stepper motor driver.=C2=A0 </div><div><br></div><d= iv>I have verified with a logic analyzer and oscilloscope that the output s= ignals to the stepper are in the correct=C2=A0phases and the correct voltag= e level (I may be able to attach the screenshot).<br>=E2=80=8B</div><div>I = know it is sketchy but I have 3 nema 23 steppers from ebay.</div><div><br><= /div><div>What I'm looking for is advice on how to proceed.=C2=A0 I jus= t spun a new board with the bare minimum circuitry to drive the stepper and= this output did not turn the stepper.=C2=A0 The two choices I see are purc= hasing another stepper from a reputable dealer or purchasing a ready-made s= tepper driver and associated accessories to drive the steppers then analyze= the difference between output signals.</div><div><br></div><div>Suggestion= s?=C2=A0 Advice?</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks,</div><div>Rob</div></div> --bcaec5015da9a3c39505143fa56d--
