Magic is in the eye of the beholder. I realize that there are some who like pcb. I have no problem with that, but I find it unusable. Perhaps others find it unusable for different reasons. And you’ve complained about the fundamental problems yourself, noting that adding a feature to pcb involves defining and coding how it interacts with every other feature. That coding burden reflects a cognitive burden to users.
