I don't like the fact that footprint are coded and not listed anywhere.
A resistor footprint is R025, so what is an axial capacitor with 1/2"
lead spacing?

Also, unless I haven't found it, the refdes? and other stuff that
sch2pcb wants to create a netlist is not clearly identified.

Yes there are a number of help articles. But none of them are geared
towards a n00b to make schematic from a handful of common components,
and turn it into at least complete rats nest on PCB layout editor

The footprint libs created by other people are great. But they are
scattered about and has proven to be rather difficult to get gEDA to
find them, especially when the footprints are more than more directory
level deep.
