Noted - this is an artefact of the drawing the translucent ring, which
is in fact a 360 degree arc shape. We don't currently composite the
shape into a non-overlapping entity, we just draw - hence the dark spot.

Not a huge priority to fix this at the moment.

Aren't visible where? This (probably) isn't expected behaviour - can you
send me a simple test case to look at?

I think that in this case, we DO composite the pads together, so you'll
not see the overlay as a dark spot like on the rat ring.

Again - not expected, could you send me a test-case.

A screen-shot highlighting the problems would help, to ensure that it
isn't a rendering problem specific to some particular graphics setup.
