for the archive, this line in the recipe worked for me:
	download=http://www.ivmaisoft.com/atomic_ops/download

The archive mentions a bug fix version being pushed. So I just bumped
the version in recipes/gettext.recipe :
	version=0.18.3.1

Same here.

I use i586-mingw32msvc-gcc from the mingw32 package of debian/jessie . It
identifies itself as:
	$ i586-mingw32msvc-gcc --version
	i586-mingw32msvc-gcc (GCC) 4.2.1-sjlj (mingw32-2)

automake is at version 1.14
I tried version 1.10 and 1.09 of automake. But the error remains.
