There are two types of "release labels" - tags and branches. Last tag 
denoting release is "pcb-20110918-RELEASE" now. It is kind of 
inconsistency, which can be confusing.

I guess that tags are better way to label the particular release commit 
. Also official git documentation states: "Generally, people use this 
functionality to mark release points...".
