The problem with all these ideas is that they make schematics less =
reusable. Ideally, the schematic itself should not change from =
breadboard to prototype to engineering model to production, but (at =
least in my world) the parts list changes drastically. So, for different =
phases of the project, the symbols change, but the schematics don't =
change unless necessary.
