For such kind of problems it may be faster to ask diff or google: diff schem1.sch schem1.bak google "Trying to rename something twice gsch2pcb" http://www.seul.org/pipermail/geda-user/2007-December/009851.html Note that you can import schematics directly into PCB program also, so maybe you do not really have to use gsch2pcb. But of course, import may also show problems.
