I believe gobjects are a good choice too.

If the implementation would make it easy for language bindings, that
would be great for libgeda. So that library functionality could be used
from Python, for example. The gobjects may offer a better solution here
too.

Some structs will move over to gobjects easily, and accessors could be
implemented over time. I can also contribute my time to help implement
this too.
