This would receive a warm welcome by me for both aspects.

1) only one properties dialogue (which includes attributes)

2) an area rather than a pop-up dialogue. While working on a schematic, I 
almost constantly change some properties of objects. So the dialogue may 
as well be always visible. It would be nice to be able to shut down the 
area in case I just want to view a circuit.
