--001a11c3577c08ae6704deeba954 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Thanks guys, That's an awesome script! It would be great to have this as an exporter in > PCB... > > I have thought it would be nice to have it as an exporter. I think I will use the script some more to see if there is anything i want to change. Making an exporter should be pretty easy most of the code / information is already used in the BOM and Gerber exporters. The only real problem to figure out is what is the best way to get the attributes (3D model file name) out of gschem and into PCB. Right now I am calling the gnetlist bom back-end with the custom attribs file. The only problem is if you already have another attribs file in the directory it gets overwritten. I would like to be able to have the import schematic function (which I really like) suck in other attributes, but I do not know how feasible that is right now. I anyone has ideas, I would like to hear them. I am not sure when I will take up the challenge, it probably depends on how much I like having the 3D models... > Did you ever seen http://pcb.bastl.sk ? > > There are some adjustments now (improved compatibility with linux > viewers)... > > Work is still (unfortunately very slowly) in progress... > > Milan > I looks really cool I have not used VRML before, but the more options the better. The project that I am using this scripe for I am building all the sub-components in OpenSCAD, so it the best fit for me.
