Ssshhh.... that might actually be useful for checking current densities
in power circuits ;)


Anyway.. it sounds very similar to how I find shorts / failed components
on real boards! If a PSU line is dragged low I often hook up large lab
supply to rail and live it up. You get to see what component de-solders
itself, and that in turn saves you a job.

(Although last time I debugged a board, I got a transfer burn of the
part-number in my finger when I went probing for which part was making
the back of the PCB warm!)
