Give us a little time to get my remaining code branches cleaned up and
merged, and perhaps then would be a good time.

Regarding the Linux-only stuff, are you thinking this because you know of
other Unix systems which don't support modern GL (perhaps the shader
stuff), or were you thinking about Windows?

It is true that I've not tested porting the GL rendering to Windows, but in
theory at least - it should be possible to make it work, at least until we
leave GTK 2.0 behind. (The GtkGlExt widget I'm using should work under
Windows).

Regarding the future.. GtkGlExt doesn't work with GTK 3.0 and beyond, and
the upstream project is dead. All (forked) replacements I've seen so far do
not appear to be as portable to MacOS-X and Windows, or at least - their
authors are only testing under Linux at the moment. Perhaps we don't care,
as I don't see us porting to GTK 3.0 any time soon.

Best regards,

Peter Clifton
