  I do.  I do a lot of stuff with op-amps for work, and most op-amps are
available in both SMT and through-hole packages.  If something is a bit
complicated, or if I just want to do a quick verification of an idea,
I'll often get the through-hole version of the part in question and put
it on a solderless breadboard.

  Most of my work is low-frequency sensor-related stuff, so the
frequency limitations of solderless breadboards don't come into play.

  Sometimes I just use a perf board for a prototype, but for
development, when things will be changing a lot, solderless breadboards
can be awfully handy.

  That said, though, for MY use case, I see no need for any
breadboarding-related functionality in gEDA.  I can figure out where to
put the wires. ;)
