  Very true, I agree.  But I hear the above pretty much all the time,
mostly from the Linux crowd, "oh, XYZ is dead, it hasn't had a commit in
six months!" etc etc etc.

  I know it's rare for software, but maybe it's, you know, FINISHED.
That certainly doesn't mean it doesn't work.
