Hi, on another list I just saw the following recipe to install python2.7 on ubuntu and figured maybe it is useful for people wanting to build gEDA on platforms using apt: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:deadsnakes/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install python2.7 Please be aware that I have neither inspected nor tested ppa:deadsnakes.
