Docks have been introduced before the fork. You just haven't
managed to find how to set up them?  'use-docks=true' in
~/.config/lepton-eda/lepton-user.conf does the trick.  Many users
don't like the docks since they wastefully eat the screen space,
this is why we decided to disable them by default (by one of the
most popular requests, YMMV).

BTW, Lepton now supports both Guile 3.0 & Gtk 3.0.  We continue
doing the hard job of maintaining gEDA capture progs available for
the users in various distributions (some of our contributions get
to geda-gaf, ask Roland ;-)).
