The default auto-save interval is 120 seconds (set in system-gschemrc
file). It can be changed with the auto-save-interval option, e.g., by
placing the following expression to gschemrc configuration file:

( auto-save-interval 5 )

This will create auto-save copy of schematic every 5 seconds. You can
pass any integer value > 0 (0 turns the auto-save feature off).
