configure fails at checking the guile version and wants at least 1.10.0. 
(Gentoo)

Latest version I have in guile-1* series is 1.0.8.

Guile website itself doesn't list vesion 1 anymore, only versions 2.x 
and fresh 3.x.

I tired with guile version 2.2.4 and 2.2.6, with the same results.

Can this be tweaked to work with more modern guile version ?

Is it just about the nature of the check or is ancient version actually 
needed ?
