Hi.

I'm a long standing gEDA user and I like it very much. I've just been away from it for a couple of months. I've installed gEDA suite on one of my Gentoo machines and it's only recently (a few days ago) after a regular system upgrade that I've noticed gschem now shows the About dialog for almost every keystroke instead of doing the expected action. I haven't of course tested all the available keystrokes but I have tested all menu commands and they all result in the About dialog being shown. Strangely enough, toolbar buttons trigger the appropriate actions.

Here are a few keystrokes I tried that do show the about dialog instead of running the actual command: ESC, N, I, Z, [, ], F Q, V S, V A, Ctrl+A, Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X. I don't know if that helps but the About dialog window appears after the last keystroke of key sequences, i.e. when the actual command should be executed.

I have tried recompiling gEDA suite with the same compiler as before (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-8.3.0) but it didn't help. I have gEDA version 1.9.2-r1, with gschem-1.9.2 (g7b0ee03) on my system with USE flags *examples*, *nls* and *threads* enabled (debug, doc and stroke are disabled).

Does anybody have a hint on what/where the problem may lie? I've started to take a look at the code and I have stumbled upon g_keys.c in gschem/src source directory, out of curiosity. As I'm an experienced C/C++ developer I might as well try figuring it on my own but I think I need some hints.
