Should be without quotation marks.

Should be semicolon-separated in the configuration file.
And it's easier to use 'gaf config --user' to edit that
file.

Again, it's better to use 'gaf config' to read/write
configuration settings.
And for lepton-eda you may try lepton-conf GUI
utility that hides internal program settings:
