From [1]:

  "The sequence numbers start at 1 and should increase without skipping
   any numbers."

Specifically, with slots, the slotdef values directly correspond to the
pin sequence numbers.  See [2].  For example,

  slotdef=3:4,5

indicates that for slot=3, the pin with pinseq=1 is pin#4, and the pin with
pinseq=2 is pin#5.
