Hi all, I realized yesterday that incidentally pcb-rnd and cschem are implementing a lot of the concepts DJ shared as "Blue Sky Ideas". In case of subcircuit the relevant page is http://www.delorie.com/pcb/new-pcb-file-format.html Paragraph by paragraph: 1. referenced elements: not yet done, but planned _as an option_ on the long run (maybe next year) 2. pad stacks: we most probably will start implementing pad stacks this year 3. layer stack recipe vs. physical layer stack, translation forth and back: already implemented (subcircuits, board-independent portable buffers) 4. "sublayouts" - done; it is the very same thing that we have as "subcircuits" (except the referencing part yet, see paragraph 1) 5. "Footprints should be a sublayout :-)" - done Regards, Igor2
