   Please listen, John.  I know you love to assert this over and over, 
but it's simply not the case that all users of gEDA are also developers! 
  It's also not the case that all non-developer users of gEDA are 
clueless children who want the handholding of KiCAD.

   I am but one example.  I'm an accomplished C programmer with nearly 
35 years of experience and hundreds of projects under my belt.  I've 
also been fluent in Scheme for about that long, but have used it far 
less.  But I am a USER of gEDA.  I love the toolkit approach.  I love 
the accessibility.  I love the scriptability.  I love the raw power of 
being able to drive my workflow with Makefiles, and I don't need or want 
a newbie-friendly click-and-drool lead-me-through-my-work program.

   But I am a user and lover of gEDA.  A longtime one at that.  My use 
case is NOT isolated.

   Good lord I'm getting to the point where I'm about to offer to PAY 
you to just fork gEDA, keep it standing still where you want it, and get 
the heck outta here.
