  One thing to keep in mind here is that not everyone drops what they're
doing and upgrades to the latest OS release as soon as it hits the
streets.  Yes, stupidly the GTK2 phaseout will definitely happen, but it
disappearing from distributions doesn't mean it will disappear from
desktops on that very day.  Or that very year, for that matter.

 Just trying to keep some perspective.
