Actually, what the FEM thing really needs is testers, users with FEM experience of any sort. Once that's provided, the coding part will just happen. We do have the resources, both coordination (Evan) and coding. So if you, Dan or anyone else will have spare time as user, these days, or next summer, to try pcb-rnd exporters and FEM programs and "validate" the output, that's exactly what would pull the project.
