I don't have any particular preference for C or C++.  I am 
more interested in the features and functionality of the GUI 
toolkit which can replace the GTK in gEDA.

I wonder if anyone has recently looked into QT5 with its 
native C++ integration with QML/JavaScript.  The QML/JavaScript 
seems like a good candidate to replace the GUILE Scheme script 
in gEDA.  Here, I personally do have a slight preference for 
QML/JavaScript vs. Scheme.
