I use something like that. Makes it easy to place one connector on
multiple pages, or at both side of a page for inputs (left side of page)
and outputs (on the right). In a group, slots can then be stacked to
make it look like one solid symbol. Then I hide all refdes but one for
each group: the one visible refdes is placed above the group. No need
for a dotted line grouping, in my case, but I guess one could draw a
rectangle if needed.
