Then why the reference to =93filenames=94? This is clearly intended to = be pcb-specific. The =93footprint=94 attribute in geda-gaf is a bit confusing, as it = really refers to the physical package of the component. The actual board = footprint you want depends on the layout tool=92s library and the board = fabrication processes. This is beyond the scope of geda-gaf. Lately, = I=92ve been mapping footprints using a =93database=94 that has entries = like: (footprint-name "CAPACITOR" "0603" "CAPC1608X87N=94) I load the mapping script and data into gnetlist with -m. Maybe I should = put this on gedasymbols. >=20 > If the data included in the "package" happens to be more than what > geda-gaf uses, that's no different than including it in a symbol > attribute that the rest of geda-gaf ignores. >=20 John Doty Noqsi Aerospace, Ltd. http://www.noqsi.com/ jpd AT noqsi DOT com --Apple-Mail=_8D4CAC01-164A-4169-AA52-AFBA8593558C Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=signature.asc Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: Message signed with OpenPGP using GPGMail -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Comment: GPGTools - https://gpgtools.org iQIcBAEBCgAGBQJWJYP7AAoJEF1Aj/0UKykRWeQP/A0TxpvrcxRr7PMgE65bZTxx uAURSgJN8lfvyuseBUYyI2PhbDb4Hc75hNySpP2oC5wPKK5+auw4fuaoZV/x6bpY rEl75Lkb6iZGekqMUpe3+gD7BjhRSXPDwfcPUIlp5uhNPJsWOPqlZWDk2jKCkAhL x62vkCZL1mz3p0XXsU0TRd7aoMari6VxvLvJlyhaQV51j3Pg8ATGkxZxKFPCwld2 CdsngiX4Kl3P3kUb0h0NqeH//FcGO1x5/wo+tobMvxlS0ksqY8G7F4gAdfILQ7QA TMy4oAdJ4CecDMTP8xN5dBcP3D97/Z8SgeDE5BErWhlrgPzSDcFkURNDpcUzNCYy uXEf8fL7iX/CSh1SQqvFp8qLVJMmTkm/h7+ArtDRtsiqGmYK62FNBGaaECJ3d6r5 rVufLhDHUj+t2FQLK3k2E++HC/S6yVZkHTGQVtq+IYK5nzS2s9tqzmeddbt3Vfk+ Hj2dDs4TwbD2zava6NULiBd+iY/wLtM6O+wdvr1P12GobCLy7hX6D5mg0wYHDQa4 zINr51x/ck/XYCMwvd0dSXUqm7HOS9MUcKmOFfVbrl2ndp9O9K485CypofI+/fzf vXmLLjYNqSNcjxbQLmtAQ1ZLceCsBf2uxLvAi7N898+GG+JyO3aitLUpMFOr/HC0 b5nIgvQpebVMf5VjHrRV =PJzk -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Apple-Mail=_8D4CAC01-164A-4169-AA52-AFBA8593558C--
