It looks like FLTK uses libdl, which I believe means that you can't actually build a static binary - or possibly you can, but you will anyway require libc on the host where you run the binary to be particularly compatible with the one on the build host - so you might just save yourself the trouble. Does it build correctly if you just run configure - removing --enable-shared=no --enable-static=yes from the command line? > so I use it in a VM on Win 7.
