You can use Lua for scripting and simultaneously you can make use of its parser for other purposes such as data and configuration files. The one thing that I find exciting is that with the data of a board or schematic stored as Lua variables and arrays, it becomes really trivial to write scripts that can act on your designs and modify them without going through all of the hassle of parsing a custom format. Thats where I want to go with this. -- Jason White
