--047d7b3a7eba1a8c53050a6cb4c9 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 I'm using this motor to turn a shaft. I have all of the inputs in a static state with the clock signal turning the motor. With the motor not connected it is silent as it turns. When I mount it on a metal block so that it meshes with the gear of the shaft it puts out a rattle as it turns,. I found that if you press down on the stepper it doesn't chatter so much. We put a neoprene gasket under it which helped quiet it but it was still a noticeable chatter. We then mounted a plate on top with a neoprene gasket lightly compressing the stepper. This quieted it quite a bit. Is this a common issue with steppers or am I not doing something correctly? Lastly, does anyone see a problem slightly compressing it? Thanks --047d7b3a7eba1a8c53050a6cb4c9 Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"ltr"><div>I'm using this motor to turn a shaft.=C2=A0 I hav= e all of the inputs in a static state with the clock signal turning the mot= or.</div><div><br></div><div>With the motor not connected it is silent as i= t turns.=C2=A0 When I mount it on a metal block so that it meshes with the = gear of the shaft it puts out a rattle as it turns,.</div><div><br></div><d= iv>I found that if you press down on the stepper it doesn't chatter so = much.=C2=A0 We put a neoprene gasket under it which helped quiet it but it = was still a noticeable chatter.</div><div><br></div><div>We then mounted a = plate on top with a neoprene gasket lightly compressing the stepper.=C2=A0 = This quieted it quite a bit.</div><div><br></div><div>Is this a common issu= e with steppers or am I not doing something correctly?=C2=A0 Lastly, does a= nyone see a problem slightly compressing it?</div><div><br></div><div>Thank= s</div></div> --047d7b3a7eba1a8c53050a6cb4c9--
