The error is indeed related to assumptions being made about POSIX threads, which obviously aren't available on Win32. A pthreads-win32 package does exist, but POSIX:y programs might rely on the compiler to deal with pthreads, and that doesn't work if the compiler is for a platform where it doesn't know how.. That version of guile just doesn't seem to support Win32 properly. I can't blame them; it's not simple. But maybe another version does. //Peter
