The UI of both, gschem and PCB is basically point-and-click. So this
is no news to any computer literate these days. Yes, there are a few
pecularities, in particular with gschem. But these are very minor
compared to getting started with brlcad. Notice, how fast DJ Delories
tutorial gets you up to speed with the LED board.

To be actually useful, you'd have to use the mechanical CAD
application in on its own turf. A library of components needs to be
done, the mechanical design which the electronics should fit in needs
to be modelled. Consequently, I'd put a premium on usability of the
mechanical CAD.
