Surely it's ok to suggest the names of suitable packages without going off on one...? Yes, I know qcad and librecad are forks of the same thing, I didn't feel this worth mentioning as both perform fine for my 2d cad needs. I'm fairly sure that Rob has got his answer without us running around in circles... Ed
