Thanks, I'll look at the suggested footprint generators. I just wanted to learn about footprint editing so I decided not to download the FP or generate it. I edited the footprint in PCB (GUI). I selected the extra pads and used backspace to delete them. I renumbered the seven remaining pads on the right side of the package pins 8-14. As I did not edit the FP in a text editor, the extra pad lines were left out by GUI. My gui version is 20110918 that came from distro repository (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS). > > Did you edit with an text editor or inside gschem? > Thanks.
