I agree with what you say there for the users of EDA tools, but I
stand by my comment.

In the Corporate Windows World the boss puts a deadline on the
schedule to ship a board.
He doesn't put "find a tool that you can figure out how to build, I'll
add time to the schedule for that".
Has nothing to do with the abilities of the people, it is about the
bottom line in the business world.
