if there is no PCB in gEDA, probably nobody would use gschem alone. If you 
think that gschem has modern UI, even better. Then I suggest to start with 
development of the new PCB tool for gEDA. Maybe one can take PCB core and 
program new UI. Then, is GTK still ok for modern GUI these days ? What about 
wxWidgets ?

What I want to say... Let's go with new and better PCB. My todo ideas are 
mainly related to PCB part of geda. The truth is, that my ideas are quite 
advanced, like moving routed objects... But still, if there is some way how to
 have schem/pcb better, go for it. I will be the first who will support such 
changes.
