I know a tool which is also non-conformant to any other GUI tool: it's
one of the two best text editors in the world. It's vim. I use it. I
like it. And I like gschem because it lets me to use keyboard the same
way like I use it with vim. If you want another way, you have it, you
can always use Alt+something shortcuts to open appropriate menu entries
like in MS Windows.
