Sure. But the price to be paid in terms of data structure modification and changes to the file format seems pretty high. IMHO, there are tons of lower hanging and more rewarding fruit on the tree of not yet implemented features. My notes contain a list of smallish feature requests and suggestions that cross my mind while I do geda projects.
