Talented != experienced IMHO, what makes a good maintainer is a desire to "own" a part of a code, enthusiasm to keep on top of it, and an ability to *learn* what's needed to do the job. It's the *ability* to learn that's "talent". > Maybe commit access for everybody sounds bold. I've been pretty lenient with accepting new committers. It can't be worse than what we had before (few/no committers).
