I have struggled with this back-side silk layer issue before. While I think it is possible to do everything you might want to do with the current arrange, but it is very un-intuitive. I would appreciate seeing the bottom silk being a separate layer. I'm sure the currently available commands to send a selection to the bottom layer could be retained so nothing is lost in the transition. --e89a8f23554dff711604c47cf106 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div class=3D"gmail_quote">On Tue, Jul 10, 2012 at 11:22 AM, Colin D Bennet= t <span dir=3D"ltr"><<a href=3D"mailto:colin AT gibibit DOT com" target=3D"_bla= nk">colin AT gibibit DOT com> wrote:
<blockquote class=3D"gmail_q= uote" style=3D"margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1e= x"> <div class=3D"im">> Likewise
> - I haven't figured out how to do bottom silk.

If you have any silk on the "solder side", it will be expor= ted as a
"bottom silk" gerber file. =A0It's pretty confusing, however,= since
"silk" is sort of two layers in one. =A0If you just want componen= t
outlines and reference designators, all you have to do is move the
element to the "solder side" by putting the mouse over it and
hitting 'b'. =A0Its associated silk outline/refdes will then be
exported to the "bottom silk" gerber.

To draw on the "bottom silk", you need to switch to the "sol= der
side view" by hitting the Tab key.
